Cornwall Family History Society
(Registered Charity No 288686)
Welcome to the Cornwall Family History Society web site. Since its beginning in 1976, the Society has aimed to become a ‘centre of excellence’ by encouraging Cornish family history research. This is being achieved by publishing a quarterly Journal, co-ordinating the transcription and indexing of over 5 million original records, maintaining a research library in Truro for members and the general public and offering a means of worldwide contact and exchange of information between members.
We hope you enjoy browsing our web site.

Membership Subscription Offer
We are now offering all members, both new and existing, an innovative combined subscription. A year's membership subscription when purchased together with a year's subscription to the Society's research database will result in significant savings.
Please note that when this offer is taken online, your membership will be instantaneous and you will be notified of your membership number by automatic email; access to the database is done manually and may take up to 3 working days to activate.
The Society is producing a new web site to commemorate the beginning of World War 1. The intention is to produce a fully searchable index of anyone connected with Cornwall during both world wars and subsequent conflicts. It is intended to include individual photographs, war grave photographs and also some information about events in individual towns and villages. They will be remembered.

We are trialing a colour version of the Journal. If you have any comments, please email the Secretary or comment on our Facebook page. Remember there is a financial advantage in taking this paperless version of the Society's Journal - it helps the Society, it helps the environment and it helps your pocket.
