The main reason for joining a family history society is usually to make contact with other people – people who share your enthusiasm and are happy to pass on their experience. Contact with other members can be made through the members area of the website.
The membership form has space for you to nominate surnames and the locations that you are researching. This information is circulated to all members to enable contact between members. You may update your members’ interests whenever you wish. A complete directory will be updated and posted to the members’ area of the web site. A printed directory of members’ interests can be provided on request.
There are several types of membership to the Cornwall Family History Society.
1. Individual (1 person) UK or non-UK membership; with or without access to the society’s research database.
2. Family (2 or more people in the same household) UK or non-UK membership; with or without access to the society’s research database.
3. Membership with electronic access to the journal; with or without access to the society’s research database.
4. Corporate (Libraries, other FH Societies, etc) UK or non-UK membership; with or without access to the society’s research database.
**Please note that when opting for a membership with database access, your membership will be instantaneous and you will be notified of your membership number by automatic email. Access to the research database has to be done manually and may take up to three working days.
