The War Memorial  can be found on the coast path North of Portscatho . The memorial  was dedicated to servicemen of all nationalities and religions who fell in Burma. It was dedicated on 7 May 1998  by Viscount John Slim OBE. DL. son of Viscount William Slim who led the 14th Army in the Burma campaign.
