Story

A.M. W. J. Hancock, only son of Mr. and Mrs. P. H. Hancock, of 15 Tewington Place, St Austell, is reported missing. "Jack," as he was familiarly known in St Austell, is only 20 years and 6 months old. He enlisted in May 1939, and was posted to the Fleet Air Arm. Previous to this he was a member of the St. Austell Detachment of the Territorial Army. He was a member of the office staff at Messrs. Hill and Phillips. His father, Mr. P. H. Hancock, has been a chauffer for Maj. M. F. Hitchens, at Trevarrick, St. Austell, for many years.
