Female  Convicts sent to Tasmania

During the latter part of 2014, the society was approached by the Female Convict Research Centre in Tasmania asking if we would consider helping them with their project.  They had the names of a number of Cornish female convicts on their database and wanted our help in tracing their Cornish roots.

A list of these convicts was provided to us and our research volunteers began the task of trying to identify their families, and also providing trial information.  Not all of the women could be traced, so the information on each one varies.

The .pdf document below lists the names of the convicts and there is a research sheet available for each.
