Crowan is situated in the Deanery and Hundred of Penwith. It is bordered by Camborne to the north, St Erth and Gwinear to the east, Sithney and Breage to the south and Wendron to the west. The River Hayle has its source in this parish. The main hamlets, besides the churchtown, are Leedstown, Praze-an-Beeble, Nancegollan, Townsend, Cargenwen, Drym, Trethannas, Trevoole and Releath.
