Davidstow is situated in the Deanery of Trigg Major and the Hundred of Lesnewth. It is bordered by Lewnewth, St Juliot and Otterham to the north, Warbstow, Treneglos and St Clether to the east, St Clether and Advent to the south and Lanteglos-by-Camelford and Minster to the west. Davidstow is a small village on the northern edge of Bodmin Moor. The parish lies about 12 miles to the west of Launceston. The hamlets of this parish are Trewassa, Trevivian, and Tremeal (Tremail).
