Gwithian is situated in the Deanery and Hundred of Penwith. It is bordered by the ocean and Camborne to the north and east, Gwinear to the east, Phillack to the south and St Ives Bay to the west. The civil parishes of Gwinear and Gwithian were combined to form Gwinear-Gwithian in 1934.
