Lanteglos-by-Camelford is situated in the Deanery of Trigg Minor and Hundred of Lesnewth. It is bordered by Minster to the north, Davidstow and Advent to the east, Michaelstow to the south and St Teath to the west. The town of Camelford is wholly situated in the parish of Lanteglos and is named after the ford across the River Camel which passes through the town.
