North Hill is situated in the Deanery and Hundred of East. It is bordered by Lewannick to the north, Lezant and Linkinhorne to the east, Linkinhorne and St Cleer to the south and Altarnun to the west. North Hill, now more commonly spelled Northill, is divided into east and west portions by the River Lynher. The main villages and hamlets are the churchtown, Coads Green, Bathpool, Middlewood, Congdons Shop, Illand or Yelland, Newtown and Trebartha.
