North Tamerton is situated in the Deanery of Trigg Major and Hundred of Stratton. The parish is bordered by the detached part of Devon called Bridgerule and the Devon parish of Pyworthy to the north, the Devon parishes of Clawton, Tetcott and Luffincott to the east, Boyton to the south and Week St Mary and Whitstone to the west. The River Tamar and the Bude Canal run from north to south parallel to each other through the parish. The parish of Tamerton is called North Tamerton to distinguish it from Tamerton Folliot in Devon. The parish is in North Cornwall right on the Devon border. It was the only parish in Cornwall that extended to the east of the River Tamar.
A tribute to those brave people of Cornwall who served or laid down their lives in both World Wars and subsequent conflicts.
