Philleigh is situated in the Deanery and Hundred of Powder and is located on the Roseland peninsula which is almost an island in the south of Cornwall bordered by the ocean on two sides and the River Fal on the third. It is bordered by Ruan Lanihorne and Veryan to the east and Gerrans and St Just-in-Roseland to the south. Philleigh is listed in the Domesday Book of 1086. Villages in the parish are the churchtown, White Lanes and Treworthall.
