Pillaton is situated in the Deanery and Hundred of East. It is bordered by St Mellion and St Dominick to the north, the River Tamar and Landulph to the east, Botus Fleming and the detached part of St Stephens-by-Saltash to the south and Quethiock to the west. It overlooks the Lynher valley on the south-east border of Cornwall with Devon. The manor of Pillaton is the Piletone or Pilatona of the Domesday Book of 1086. The churchtown and Paynter’s Cross are the only villages.
A tribute to those brave people of Cornwall who served or laid down their lives in both World Wars and subsequent conflicts.
