Probus is situated in the Deanery and Hundred of Powder. It is bordered by Ladock and St Stephen-in-Brannel to the north, Grampound, Creed and Cuby to the east, Cornelly, Lamorran and Merther to the south and St Clements and St Erme to the west. The parish is directly north of Tregony, between Truro and St Austell, and is mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086. The churchtown is a large village with the other main village being Tresillian, part of which lies outside this parish. The church is reputed to have the tallest tower in Cornwall.
A tribute to those brave people of Cornwall who served or laid down their lives in both World Wars and subsequent conflicts.
