Ruan Lanihorne is situated in the Deanery and Hundred of Powder. It is bordered by the River Fal (which separates it from Cornelly) to the north, Veryan to the east, Philleigh to the south and Philleigh and the River Fal (which separates it from Lamorran) to the west. Besides the churchtown, the other villages are Ruan High Lanes and Treworga.
