Sithney is situated in the Deanery and Hundred of Kerrier. It is bordered by Crowan to the north, Wendron and Helston and the Loe Pool (which separates it from Gunwalloe) to the east, the ocean to the south and Breage to the west. The parish lies about 3 miles north-west of the town of Helston. The main villages are the churchtown, Porthleven, St Johns, Penrose, Mellangoose, Lower Prospidnick, Dowga, Sithney Common, Sithney Green, Coverack, Crown Town Lowertown, Chyreen and Lower Tregadjack. Porthleven, which was originally part of this parish, became a separate parish in 1844.
A tribute to those brave people of Cornwall who served or laid down their lives in both World Wars and subsequent conflicts.
