Talland is situated in the Deanery and Hundred of West. It is bordered by Pelynt and Duloe to the north, the estuary of the River Duloe (which separates it from St Martin’s-by-Looe) to the east, the English Channel to the south and Lansallos and Pelynt to the west. Talland is located on the south coast of Cornwall at the head of Talland Bay between Polperro to the west and West Looe to the east. The main town of the parish is Polperro which used to be divided by the River Pol between the two parishes of Lansallos and Talland. However, the boundaries were re-drawn in 1875 and the whole of Polperro is now entirely within Talland ecclesiastical parish.
A tribute to those brave people of Cornwall who served or laid down their lives in both World Wars and subsequent conflicts.
