Warbstow is situated in the Deanery of Trigg Major and Hundred of Lesnewth. It is bordered by St Gennys and Jacobstow to the north, Tremaine and Treneglos to the east, Treneglos and Davidstow to the south and Otterham to the west. A detached portion of the parish on the left bank of the River Attery at Canworthy Water is bordered by the detached portion of Jacobstow to the north, North Petherwin to the east, Tremaine to the south and Jacobstow to the west. Warbstow is located about 10 miles north-west of Launceston and was mentioned in the Domesday Book in 1086.
