Description
This story of the village is told through the eyes of the artist Caroline Gotch who married in Newlyn and eventually settled there. She saw the village from an artists perspective, living amongst the artist community that became known as the Newlyn Colony. She had first-hand experience of how Newlyn changed with the development of its harbour and how Newlyners and artists lived in accord until the start of the first world war, which is where this story end.
This tale encapsulates an artists perspective of Newlyn from 1881 until 1913.
