Penwith Local History Group’s new book is a treasure-house of material spanning the twentieth century, and tracing the impact on Penwith of many of the huge changes of those years.

The authors touch on a wide variety of topics including archelogy, architecture, business, education, fairs, farming, fishing, mining, motoring, pacifism, religion and women.

The topics are presented from a range of perspectives, including individual recollections, the stories of communities and historical overviews drawing on public records.
