Stratton, originally called Bude-Stratton, is situated in the Deanery of Trigg Major and Hundred of Stratton. It is bordered by Poughill to the north, Launcells to the east, Marhamchurch to the south and the ocean to the west. The parish is located on the north coast of Cornwall with the village of Stratton located a mile to the east of Bude. When the coastal area of Bude was separated from the original parish of Bude-Stratton in 1836, the remainder to the east of Bude became the parish of Stratton. The two parishes now once again form the one civil parish of Bude-Stratton.
A tribute to those brave people of Cornwall who served or laid down their lives in both World Wars and subsequent conflicts.
